What is the WIAN Gold Series?
Gold is WIAN's flagship CAT6A range with Wi-Barrier Tape, which blocks alien cross-talk in dense bundles while keeping the cable U/UTP. Six cables: indoor pure copper (WC-2217G) and hybrid CCAM (WC-2117G), outdoor double LDPE (WC-2264K pure copper, WC-2164K hybrid), and armoured pure copper with aluminium wire (WC-2274K) or ECCS steel (WC-2284K).
When do I need Gold instead of Neo?
When many cables run together — risers, trays, server rooms, societies and tenders — or when the run is outdoors, buried or exposed to crushing and rodents. Gold is also the series to lead with on GeM and institutional supply.
Which Gold cable is armoured?
WC-2274K has aluminium-wire armour for crush protection; WC-2284K has ECCS steel armour for direct burial and rodent-prone routes. Both are pure copper with a black LDPE jacket for outdoor and buried runs.
