CAT6 or CAT6A — which should I buy?
CAT6 carries 1G and is fine for homes and small offices. CAT6A carries 10G, runs PoE cameras and access points further, and avoids a re-pull in ten years — WIAN Neo and Gold Series are CAT6A.
Which WIAN cable is right for IP CCTV cameras?
IP cameras run on LAN cable: WIAN CAT6 for runs up to 100 m and CAT6A (Neo or Gold Series) for PoE-heavy runs up to 200 m with long-reach / ePoE equipment. Outdoors, choose the black LDPE K-coded version. HD and analog cameras use Channeltech 3+1 cable instead.
